Default BAR 006

BAR Honda released it's new car today. Looks pretty much the same as last year's, but whatever. Hopefully they'll do well this season

LMAO... That last pic is a sign of new-found optimism over at BAR...

That's what I was thinking but the car looks good, and hopefully all of their testing this winter will actually do them some good this season. If they can get the reliability thing down I think they can be making podium finishes on a semi-regular basis

One thing I noticed, and it's something similar to what Renault did, the rear bodywork before the rear wheel/suspension area swoops up almost over the rear wheel, like half a cycle fender!!!

Ferrari's design doesn't appear to be as aggressive with regards to this.

The new McLaren is what I'm waiting for. I'm not a fan, but I have a feeling "something wicked this way comes".

Heh, saw all your photos over at s2ki. Even though it did well for testing, it'll be interesting to see if BAR / Honda is an actual contender when the season kicks off in March in Melbourne.

MP4/19 is already out testing. It just hasn't been "officially" presented. You can find pics of it at all the major motorsport sites.

DUH! I didn't realize it was the "new" car, I thought it was the 2003 car with updates. Thanks for the clarification.

MP419 is out, and Kimi and David have complained that the cockpit is too small (Granted that DC is huge for a F1 driver). A good car it may be, but if the drivers are uncomfortable they may not be able to perform to their limits.

The 006 absolutely blitzed the track record at Barcelona that Button set a week ago. Almost another full second faster. I'm sure he was on a low fuel load, but if the car was legal weight, with a legal aero package, watch out!!!

You can set records all you want in testing...it doesn't mean you'll be competitive. Before the 1996 season, the McLaren was setting the pace at most of the tests. Hakkinen himself expected to be fighting for pole in Melbourne. Williams blew them away!
