Default I finally got another honda, but I need help!

I just bought another honda ('93 Accord EX) nothing special but it def. beats the pick-up I have. Well this is my problem, the balance shaft belt went on it and screwed the whole timing up. The A**hole that owned it before me must have re-used the balance shaft belt when he had the timing changed. I replaced all the belts and tensioners and hoped I didn't do any damage to the head but I wasn't so lucky. The head is now off and the valves are focked.

Whats the next step... I'm not sure if I should bring the head somewhere and have it rebuilt or bye a new one or even do it myself. Any questions that you may have about it just ask.

Any information at all would help me out.

Thanks in advance,
Greg

Well if this guy screwed that up...image what the rest of the engine could be like......I would pull the engine and take a look at the internals, if all looks good I would rebuild the head and would definatly recommend a chiltons or helms manual.

Edit: sorry its late, once you pull the head you should be able to see piston tops, that should give you somewhat of an idea of the engine condition. plus new seals oWNZ

Where can I get a chiltons or a helms manual?? I have a Haynes manual that you can get a a local parts store. Whats the advantage of the other ones??

I haven't had the time to check the pistons is there a chance they were also damaged?

Where's the best place to get a Chilton's manual for a '93 Accord EX?

I still am curious as to whats the next step in rebuilding my head. Have it professionally done? Whats the average cost if I bring it somewhere??

You can get Chilton manuals at any parts store.

$ depends on where you take the head to be serviced.

I've located a new head. $250 Best deal i could get my hands on. At least the valves aren't all bent.

Took my junk head apart today and all but maybe 2 valves were bent, the exhaust side took the blunt of the damage I wonder why that is?

Thanks for all the info!
