Default Swapping a B16

Im swapping a B16A1 into my 88 HF. I'll be using Hondata and have already figured out the wiring problems. My only concern is mounts. I am familiar with the hasport motor mounts but have heard horror stories from reliable sources about hard launches and shifts resulting in the motor slamming against the firewall. If anybody has had any experience with this swap please reply.

You might have heard that about other kits but not Hasport. I've beat the **** out of mine for almost two years and the motor NEVER moves at all. It's the best kit you can get.

i think people who break anythign have turbos, cause its usually teh torque taht breaks things and with a stock even modified honda motor u dont have torque if u have forced induction thats a diffrent theory ....

Boost won't hurt them either. My car was under pressure for half of that time.

HASport gets

from me, they are so stiff that when my car is at idle with an open exhaust my rear view mirror vibrates so much that I can't see out of it.

LOL

that is soo true.!!!!
i was running open exhaust for a while, and the
interior shook like mad,
and know that the exhaust is bolted up,
i still feel it a little when at a red light..lol

i'd take the vibration over a **** mount
anyday..!!!!!

HASport is #1 .!!!!!!!!!!
easy install, like a hot knife through butter...!!!!!!

HCP mounts are solid and quite a deal as well.
I have HCP in my car and have had no problems
and at $200 less than hasport taboot...
all steel mounts with energy suspension polyurethane and a front mount for extra stablilty.. and the shift linkage is included in the price

I do not have these mounts yet, but plan on putting them in my car, I have heard nothing but good reports on the HASport mounts, where i have heard mixed reports about the other manufacturers.

If you are worried about the motor hitting the firewall, the B-series-ina-CRX kit from HASport has the option of the harder "drag" rear mount at no extra charge.
