Did I fried my amp?
I got a Sony 4-channel amp and when I was about to relocate it I accindentally took the ground wire and touched the amp which cause a spark. Now the amp power light glows amber when I try to power it up. Green light means power and protection suppose to light up red...i think. But anyways, I didn't shorted the speaker output so could it possibly be in protection mode? or did I just fried the whole amp?
does the amp internal fuses?
if so, check them...if they are blown that will cause the amp to protect, other things that might happen could be, a solder ball melted off due to the crossing, or something on the board blew.

Yeah, I checked the fuse and it didn't blow. I even open the amp to see if I can detect any burnt or out of extrodinary circuitry. I not a electrical engineer so I don't know what to look for..hehee.
Funny tho, how my kenwood amp had an additional ground point on the amp frame itself. Never ground that but I assume nothing major will happen to an amp if a ground hit the frame. Guess, I was wrong
Why don't they built an amp with reset button when something like this happen....arghhh

hehe, you're gonna love this, this happened to me, not long ago,
open up the amp, (if you want), and right on top of every amp, there are black square units, there is probably 10 of them on a 2 channel amp. they are all lined up, anyways, one of those is burnt out, you can see it because of all the black smoke around its area,
run down to a chip factory, they are 60 cents - 1$ , get one of those, and put it in,
worked for me,
do this, you should be fine
ps. i have a new problem now, due to pulling wire accidentally, now my fuse burns out instantly as soon as i put 1 in, but its not dead.
