I have a 90 accord, with a dohc f20. And there is a new starter in it. And the problem and question is that when I crank the car up it has this nasty sound ( sounds like your holding the key in too long ) each time it is cranked. What is causing this? Something needs to be tightened or loosened? TIA

 

I would say your starter is either bad or you have installed the wrong one. Once you stick the key in it actually moves the gears forward to try and turn the motor, once the key is released from start it returns the gear (at least thats how it was on my camaro )
