Default auto tranny slipping? EZ question

I don't know much about automatics since I've never owned one. But, I just picked up a 89 Honda Accord Automatic with 149K miles at an auction. Well when I drive it, it seems to shift fine from 1-2 but when at light throttle and it wants to go from 2-3 it revs up to 4k and than shifts...
Is the tranny slipping ?? Is this something thats going to get back quick even if I grandma it??

Thanks
