Ok so I decided I'm going to throw that much on my car and I want some suggestions from you guys.. and spending them all on a turbo is not what I'm thinking . I want to go N/A for the moment.

So far I have

AEM C.A.I.
Apexi N1
KYB AGX Adjustables
H&R Springs

Next I was thinking Greddy Headers and APEXi VTEC Controller>>>

Well, if I were you, since you are in the beginning stages of modding your car....look to see what products will yield the most gains for the money.

You are already starting off with the correct car...a VTEC 4th gen. I would say get an intake, a GOOD header (SMSP, there are a few others out there), high flow cat, and a cat-back exhaust. Honestly, that should be a good combination to start of with. That is all I am doing to my car.

Remember, the H22 is a GREAT motor. These are the only items really needed to make the car perform to an impressive status. Anything else decreases the reliability of the car...one strong point Honda is known for.

If you can understand that the H22 is capable of only so much (high 13-low 14sec), you will be very happy with your decisions. Just don't expect to beat Corvettes, etc...and you should be fine.

My goal is to spend the least amount of money on my car to realize the most gains. I know what the Prelude is and I am not expecting the World out of it.

Hope I helped, and good luck.

new tires + SMSP/Mugen header + GC+Koni Yellows + catback exhaust + ebay CAI + Rear Sway bar . that should be close to (a little over) 2500 bucks.

Guys, he already has an intake and catback reading original post > me

I'd say Lightweight rims with sticky tires are a must. I have a stock h23 and normal tires, and i spin em at will. Can't imagine what a modded h22 would be doin VAFC is a good choice, just make sure to dyno tune it a bit to maximize gains and reliability. Personally, I'd say put together a cheap Junkyard turbo for like 6 psi. Awesome power and still plenty reliable.

Maybe if he had the little ole Civic or Integra motor in his car......Toda doesn't make cams for the Prelude.

apparently for me:

reedeng iz phundermentul.

ok, with that in mind get yourself some 16x7 or 15x7 lightweight wheels and some quality rubber. VAFC and dyno time is good, SMSP header is another good candidate, Quaife LSD, Crower Stage 1 Cams/Type S pistons/Cam gears/other headwork...

Actually... for 1400 not only will the header come with teh cat... it will leave him with $1100 left over to spend on a VAFC, tuning, and some pulleys. He'd actually still have money left over (maybe for some tires).... sounds good to me... I'm sure he couls spend it on stupid stuff too... but with that setup that he'd have..

AEM CAI
SMSP Header
Carsound Cat
A'PEXi N1
AEM Pulleys
A'PEXi VAFC

That should net him some pretty solid power if you ask me

All the suggestions you guys are giving me I'm taking in to count. With that in mind everyone seemed to agree with a VAFC, so I got one today.

My next move will probably be a header...SMSP Header looks nice but isn't it a bit expensive...?
