Intermittent Starter Problem
A couple weeks ago I got my starter rebuilt and installed by a local shop. It worked fine for over a week, then one Friday it took multiple cranks to start up. I took it in to the shop, where it started up just fine. The shop said they can't do anything until it doesn't work for them. So I figured it'd be fine.
So yesterday the car dies again, same was as before. It's been over two weeks since it previously died. But this morning when I took it to the shop it started up just fine. Again, the shop said until it doesn't work for them, they can't diagnose what to do with it.
The only option right now that I can see is to drive it around until, one day, it doesn't work, then tow it to the shop. That's not to appetizing.
Is there anyway to solve this problem without being stranded and waiting for a tow?
