JDM ITR LSD in LS Transmission?
installing gear type jdm type R LSD into 94' integra ls trans. OEM LS ring gear center bore is too small to fit over the LSD. has anyone had this problem as of yet? I am not sure if i should just machine the center of the gear or purchase a new gear, or worse yet another Diff.
thank you in advance for any advice.

thank you for your info. couple of questions:
by doing that i will be changing the final drive? yes / no?
i prefer the LS raito over the GSR's
is the GSR stronger?
will it weaken the LS one very much if we machine it to fit?

You're right. I'd forgotten the LS used the 4.266. I don't know about the machining.

You'd be better off asking in a different forum though. ITR owners don't generally use LS transmissions.

thank you, yea we will be making enough power to need the taller gears. it is also nice to be able to run over 140 vs right at or just under with the others. if anyone else knows about this problem, please let me know.
i put a jdm type r diff into my 96 ls tranny........you need to change the diff bearings and you have to use the gsr ring gear and countershaft thus changing the final drive.....i had the tranny on my b20 turbo and my b16 turbo and it worked awsome......planning on using it on my new turbo setup on gsr shortblock with type r head.....
