93 F22 to H22AJDM Distributor
Hi, Swapping in a Osaka H22a into Prelude S. The f22A distributor has an external coil while the H22a came with Internal coil. Thus I have a left over wire - the one that plugged into the coil. The yellow thick guage wire form the coil goes into one of the distributor connectors. What to do with left over connector
Also the H22a has a solenoid on the fuel rail connected to the presssure regulator. F22 did not so I need to add another wire. What is this vacuum / solenoid for?
And if your still reading. F22 did not have a IAB system and H22 did not come with IAB components because thats a air box thing... People say the check engine will come on with a IAB...

Thanks 2point2.
There is so much disinformation flying around it becomes a bit frustrating. I believe the fuel pressure boost discussion.
Re Distributor, Honda-acura.net under h22 swap faqs appears to have answered the question regarding f22 external coil vs h22a internal. Common issue in accord swaps. They state that the yellow and yellow black wires should be spliced together. This sounds logical as we all know the yellow/black wires are usually component supply power circuits in honda wiring. All this does is provide a bias voltage to the H22A distributor coil...
Pressing on and ignoring the fuel regulator boost solenoid and IAB circuit for now....
Thanks again.
