Race Prepping....

So my 92 hatch is totally stock D series and i'm supposed to race another stock hatch... but i need to get the advantage....
What little things can i do to prep this beast up with like little to no money???
Anything like tire pressure, some intake tweaking..... any little performance adjustments you can think of that can put me a little ahead of the game....

turn timming up and run 91 or better gas
