gsr acting weird at low rpms
my gsr just started doing this recently when i drove to sc, when i am at low rpms (0-2000) and i hit the gas, it doesnt act like im even giving it gas for a second, then all of a sudden it pulls and feels normal afterwards, like theres just some lag in btw the time i hit the gas and the time it actually accelerates, it doesnt do it all the time though, do i need to run some fuel injector cleaner through it, is it just bc of the cold weather outside? or any other ideas of what might be the culprit?
any help would be great, thanks

I had that happen w/ my old neon. You will want to check the fuel system to make sure it's clean. Also, it could be your distributor. That's all that I can think of right now.
my gsr does it but only around 1k-2k rpm if im coasting with out giving it gas and then ease into the gas, but only when the engine is cold and trying to idle up. its doing that because my idle is funky and so i think it becuase of the fast idle valve but if you give it more than about 10-15% throttle and it dosent pick up then you have something wrong. does your car have a surge at idle? like idle up and down when the engine is cold and it is warming up? if so then that is why, its trying to idle but its not stable and it will affect the very low rpm acceleration. if not then its not the ignition maybe a plugged fuel filter, if youve never changed your fuel filter try it, you should just because anyway, im a mechanic and that is one thing people hardly ever remember to do.
ok thanks for the suggestions, yeah it doesnt jump around when it idles, i think im going to try the fuel filter and maybe some injector cleaner, hopefully that will solve the problem, thanks again

Agreed could be timing since timing will affect throttle response.
Also could be fuel, as soon as your go to wide open throttle the manifold vacuum change should raise fuel pressure dumping more fuel. If something is bloking the fuel then it won't accelerate as quickly. When was the last time you changed your fuel filter?

i had already tried that, im pretty sure it has to be the injectors or fuel filter...its looking like the fuel filter though, thanks for the help guys

just to let everyone know, i ran some fuel injector cleaner through to see if that helped, didnt help much, maybe a little, but then i changed the fuel filter, and cut the old one open (which by the way hadnt been changed ever i dont believe, 70K miles) and it was all gunked up, it runs fine now, none of that stuff going on now

or you could use some sea foam
. that stuff will clean off all the carbon, varnishes, gunk buildup in your engine. there's a thread I believe in integra forum that's about 8+ pages on sea foam.
