First time boosting tonite! first impressions
OMG...wow...i wish words could describe the feeling. after 6 hours tonite finishing the last piece of intake charge piping (which still isnt final) and the downpipe (which is open right now...just in teh exhaust but not full connected) we finally starter her up and tested her out. after a new starter, new radiator and about ever other new bolt its finally almost installed!
after warmin up...i hesistated to start the boost, but it sounds like it should be full boost by 3000rpms... hehe 60 trim t3 w/ 48ar...but since the charge piping is jenkis (flange broke for turbo..dont ask) its not fully gettin up to 5 (and i have a half bar spring..weird..) till around 4000.
ANYWAY, so even at 4psi (after i fix ic piping it shoudl be better) with a rediciolousy conservative tune im still very impressed... its putting me back in my seat and i just cant wait to be tuned. my old setup consisted of itr intake, 64mm tb, itr intakemani, skunk2 cams, itr valvetrain, jun header, tuned ecu, and greddy exhaust, but here is the new me!

My first time boosting .... I realized that my exhaust flange and wastegate were warped, and that I was burning a lot of oil from either valve seals or a bad turbo

i've had 6 turbo motor setups.. i can't drive my car without boost. thats just me. or is it? didnt blow them just wanted something different each time. but i did blow a dx 1.5 sohc lol. thats cuz of a bad turbo leakin oil. i love turbo. i have pics to prove my setups.. some of them anyway

You can blow a motor with a leaky/bad turbo? Can someone explain why a bad turbo can cause a motor to blow?
