Default 90-93 Accord Speaker Question

How do you remove the speaker covers in the doors and in the back?

The interior is really nice in my Accord and I don't want to mess it up. My Civic covers were plastic so I didn't care about it.

I blew my stock 6 1/2's in the back and figure to just do all four at the same time.

The WHOLE door panel has to come off.
You can't just pull off the cover like in a Prelude.
For the back you have to undo the screw nuts from the trunk.

It doesn't suck that much, but in my accord some of the wire harnesses for the locks and windows DON"T want to come out and that is the part that pisses me off.
Aside from that it it pretty easy.
I swap out front speakers alot, so I take the panles out all the time.
kinda get used to it after a while.

The back speakers were extremely easy to swap out. *Not wired up.

I can't even get the whole panel off. I have the bottom propped open and have to lay on my back. *Not wired up.

*I hate these factory speaker wire harnesses. Just more trouble in trying to find out + and - wires.

i took my speakers out of my 91 accord, and it was really easy for the back, but hard to remove the door cause of the handle.
my speakers also dont let me open the windows all the way without rubbing

On my 92 Accord, the front speaker grills come off; you do not have to remove the whole door panel. There are two screws that hold it in place and then it just snaps out. I'm not sure on the 90-91's though.

Good to know. I've been working in the dark with the time I have. I've only removed the factory speaker so far. Haven't had time to install it, nor to hook up + & - wires yet. I'm bumpin' music on a stock driver side door speaker only.

Lucky you.
On my 93 the whole panel has to come out.
