The best upgrades for my 94 accord EX under $2000
I have around $2k i want to spend on my stock 94 accord. I was thinkin of buying a turbo kit but my friend says that id have to fix up more engine internals for the turbo to work best..any hoguhts?? thanks in adance
If your car is totally stock.. my suggestion would be to get some EX wheels and drop it on a good set of springs and shocks. Than you work on engine.
Well if its bone stock I would recommend upgrading suspension (via springs and shocks) then would look into if your car has high miles (over 160K) to do either engine swap or rebuild of f22 and turbo (both over 2K).

What good is a car if its fast but can't handle, brake or do anything but look stock and be fast? Nothing.....upgrading your suspension is one of the best mods you can do NTM you will get more enjoyment out of it daily not saying you wouldnt with a turbo kit. I would do suspension, intake, get decent tires, and save for either swap or turbo/rebuild.

heres what you should do, get some eibach sportline springs with koni shocks. then get some decent tires and or wheels. Next if you want to swap the no brain swap is an h22 which can be found at http://www.hmotorsonline.com
You'd be amazed at how fun a car can be if it has a good suspension and tires even if it's weak. Makes a world of difference.
If the engine's in good condition, why not do your own custom turbo kit after that? You can do it for cheap if you do a low boost setup. Maybe not as cheap as some of the older accords (the ones that eclipse turbo manifolds can be used) but other than manifold, everything else you can get used for cheap from other stock turbo cars. (or used off of ebay).

Id say the same

port and polish with high lift cam...
you probably won't win many times at the strip but if you practice you are shure to take out a few posers. add an intake to the combination and the car will snarl and bark like a fierce beast. thats like 1.2k , add a set of non adjustable + springs and you will have a good looking proper street ride for 2k
if you really want to go fast it will cost you on the accord.
and in all honesty... save up another 1or 2 k and force induce the babe and fullly rock.
best of luck.

$2000? . . . . .
1) Eibach Pro-Kit $190 delivered
2) Koni Yellow w/ adj perch $500 deliv.
3) SpecProd camber kits $200 deliv.
This is the basic platform for an even better car. There are two ways you might go here, simple i/h/e, or real power adders like turbo or swap.
The turbo and swap routes aren't cheap, budget 3k-4k for them, more if you are serious about building, ignition, electronics, etc.
If you are looking for something zippy for around town but not racing the local hooligans or taking it to the strip, i'h'e will do fine. I/h/e/ simply stands for intake, header,
and exhaust. Although there are many brands for all these items, you can expect to see as much as a 30hp increase with a somehwat corrosponding increase in torque as well, but the latter being determined more by the exhaust.
With a budget of 2000, with 900 spent on ride, the remaining 1100 will easily cover a generic cai (about $55, unless you REQUIRE it to say AEM), headers $275 (DC), and exhaust $500 (give or take, this is more of a style thing). This will leave roughly 300 for image mods or better yet a Jacobs Ice-Pack (ignition). Any way you decide to go though, change your plugs, oil, and filters for now.
