Default Headlights in type r/help please

I love my car, except for one thing the stock head lights absolutely are awful (at least mine are- its a black 2000 R). I'm trying to get the car paid off asap so I can race it- therefore don't want to spend a bunch of $ on headlights that in 1-2 years will be taped over and never used. (The car will be 100% track when the $0 due notice comes.)

Anyone have any suggestions about either some great bulbs they are using or a cheaper fix than the obvious buck out for a conversion answer? (I'm not clueless, just headlights aren't a race part therefore I want the cheapest fix possible.)

What have you guys done? Surely I'm not that much of an old lady (at 27) that its my eyesight and not the headlights!

thanks...Danielle

yup, they suck. cheapest bulb would be to fit a high beam bulb in the low beam socket... trim 2 locations and you're good to go. $10 at wal mart.

This may be a stupid question- but won't I be blinding people then?
Even in the low beam socket won't high beam bulbs blind oncoming traffic?
..or maybe its just the answer/solution is too simple that I can't belive I haven't already done that and therefore I'm trying to find a flaw....

for $40 Get some Sylvania Stars Retro fit the 9005 to fit the 9006 socket and your problem should be solved. Trust me I've done it for My sister, Gf as well as Mine. Works like a charm. If you do a search, there should be instructions on how to do it. Goodluck

highbeams in the lowbeam, silverstars, or HIDs are the solutions available.. HIDs are the best, but most expensive..

No you won't blind anyone if they are properly aimed, because the Integra uses projector headlights, which uses a shield behind the convex lens to create a sharp cutoff, keeping most of the light below that cutoff line.

Click the link in my sig to see exactly how to do it.
