How hard is it to replace a D series no v-tech head with a v-tech head....

Default How hard is it to replace a D series no v-tech head with a v-tech head....

Im looking to buy a v-tec head off a d16 on ebay to replace my non-vtec head...is it hard to install.....should it be professionaly done?

not really hard. you should ask bauleycivic for personal experience, but i will be doing one soon. so if i do mine before you, i will give you some info.

You know after all that trouble you could buy a whole sohc vtec engine and tranny for under 500.

I think the only way this would be worth doing is if its a vtec head with major porting, polishing, upgraded valvetrain, etc etc.....and even then I'm sure you'd have to upgrade some parts of the bottom end..
