ok...i need to get some new tires....all season...for my si wheels. the stock ones are 195/55-15. what tire size do you all recommend? i was wanting to get 205/50-15 but i duno.

yea def go with the 205's, dont know much about all seasons. i drove all winter with my pirelli p700's in ny and will continue to, cant complain i guess.

 

I have a question, ?/?/15 which one is the width or length?

 

205 is the width of the tire from end to end (looking at the tread) 50 is the side wall height in conjunction to the width of the tire

worst snow tires ever...as are kumho 711...(but probably not as bad as azenis)

I have 195/50/15 tires on LS wheels...Yoko AVSES100 front and Kumho 711 rear...ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE IN SNOW. I ditched them and am now rocking 13" steelies with Michelin All Seasons.

To the author...205's are WAY too wide for winter tires. I'd stick with a good all season tire that is the stock 195/55/15. If you can afford it...the best idea is to get some 15" steelies and run them with all seasons in the winter and then when the weather gets nice throw some Azenis or AVSES100 on your regular wheels...thats what I do.

my brother has those...they are crap in the snow ...but summertime is a totally different story

yeah i think im gonna stick to the 195/55-15. i'll probably get some MIchelin XGT V4 like the ones that came on it....but they suck bad in the snow. i thought they are supposed to be all season.

what about the sumitomo HTR+? they are way cheaper than the v4's

kinda...the 205 is the widest part of the tire, regardless if it's on the outside near the tread or in the middle of the tire, near the sidewall. the 50 is the percentage of (sidewall tire height/ tire width)

sumitomo HTR suck all around...I have them for drag tires because they are the only 20" tire available

The XGT-V4's are good...but they are $135 a piece...

I'd stick with the AVID T4's...I've had them before and they are a great all-season tire

I had avid t4's on my stock wheels before I got my integra LS rims...I rode on them for about a year and a half...they were good wearing tires...performance wasnt THAT great but then again it was a 175 tire. I never drove in the snow (never needed to...I didnt have school if it snowed). If price wasnt an issue...i'd def go with XGT V4...just because michelin is a better company and honda put them stock on civic si's and integras.

I'd go on tire rack and read reviews of both

I went and read some reviews....check this out

I guess theyre not too good after all. I will stick to the avid t4's

If you are looking for a good winter tire I would recommend the Continental "Extreme contact" or Falken Ziex-Ze 512. Both have good wet/dry ratings as well as tread wear. btw, I just got some of the Falken's. Have only had them on for about 1k miles. Driven through light snow and wet roads...so far, so good.

712's suck...I have 711's on the rear...they are alright

 

YEAH THE 711'S. FOR $33 I THINK THERE GREAT.
