Well for the money at the time when the EP first came out, the demand wasn't there. So the price was very attractive. If you can get a good deal on an EP, go for it. There shold be some 03's still in the lot and with that said, they shold be letting them go cheap. I use mine for a daily driver, and have a lot of fun drving it. The body is stiff as hell! Your'll love the shifter too!!

That's a fair price for a used EP. These Hondas are heavier than previous. The EP is in the same boat as the RSX though, so it's minimal. Ya the EP is slow at first, but with Honda's new K Series, these things have the potential to move.

If you're running 16s with the EP, let someone else drive it. There's no huge weight difference either.

What you have to give up in weight, you'll gain exponentially in chassis rigidity

Yeah, really depends alot though. Driver, overall conditions, etc.

SI Curb Weight (lbs., MT) 2782
Base RSX Curb Weight (lbs., MT) 2721
Type-S Curb Weight (lbs., MT) 2778

This is from Hondanews.com. Funny, I remember the Type-S being heavier than the SI by a few lbs. Acura.com has the Tupe-S at 2767. So I guess it is all in who you ask. Eh, really doesn't matter.

I ran low 15.4's stock and i'm a newbie. Few bolt ons and you'll hit high 14s with a ep3.

the rsx is an attractive lookin car, but if u just want a quick car to turn into a racer, get the SI. I have an RSX-S and I love that damn car. Test drive both the base and the SI and see which one u like.

Yes it is weird, unless you have a way to weigh it. Then don't really believe those numbers. Don't seem right to me.

the EP isnt all that slow at all. i have had mine for over a year now, and still love it. cant wait for this summer tho. a friend of mine went to the track with his EP, and ran a 15.4, first time at the track and everything. if you want good times at the track and want to be fast, save your cash and get the JRSC like i did.
