How strong are SOHC ZC bottom ends

Default How strong are SOHC ZC bottom ends

How much boost can a sohc zc motor hold? Are they stronger than the d16z6...anybosy have a boosted sohc ZC?

Yeah I have one making 215whp at the moment stock engine, I think they are just as strong as the other D16s I wouldn't think there any stronger...

So around 200whp with no detonation is reasonably safe after that rods can become a problem.

The bottom ends are exactly like a D16A6.

So around 200whp.

Don't quote me on this but Ive seen several 250 and 300whp d16s out there bone stock running around. Big turbos, strong headgasket and some hella tuning! turbod16.com has some in there with there setups listed I believe.
