Damage to my R motor...need advice
Well on christmas day I dropped a valve and this is what it did....I need to know if anyone thinks the head can be fixed or if I should just get another or a new one.

Pretty scary looking?
Well here is the bottom end, which I got lucky on and the valve didnt hit the cylinder wall at all.
IB spec Wisecos are on the way....

As far as the head internals go, Toda C's, Toda valve springs, Toda cam gears, Skunk2 retainers, Ferrea valves are all on the way, I just need to know about the damage to this cylinder head.
On a side note Everything that is coming off the head is for sale for REALLY cheap.
PM me offers.

Any advice on who to contact to find out for sure?
I have a few more pics but I couldnt really get any to show more detail. I will try when I walk out to the garage in a little bit.

sounds like an opportunity to upgrade to oversized valves and a 5 angle valve job
if i was in your position i'd send my head off to portflow (or any other reputable shop) and have it tweaked a little. a little work on your combustion chambers would help it breathe better and burn better anyway... and oversized valves will take care of your valve seat problem....

i think it can be repaired. the old seat can be pressed out and a new one can be pressed in and machined to look like new.
the other knicks and stuff can be smoothed and polished up if the machine shop who is working on it knows what they are doing........
good luck.

are you high? DOES ANYBODY ON THIS ******* BOARD KNOW ANYTHING ANYMORE?????????? JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!
Damage is very minimal. any competent auto machine shop should be able to do a minimal ammount of welding to the combustion chamber, install new valve seats, and cut new valve angles.
