i just spent 3.5 hrs with my roommate trying to replace my front and rear rotors and calipers but only semi successfully finished the front ones. the threading on the lower part of the front driver's side caliper bracket was stripped and also one of the caliper pin's threading was stripped, the bolt going into the pin also snapped. on the front passenger rotor one of the screws holding the rotor was stripped and we had to drill it out. all four of the screws holding on the rotor are so tight that the screws are getting stripped!! i swear my car is punishing me for not doing this earlier!!!

I you use the $15 impact screwdriver from Sears you will never strip the rotor screw. That's one less to worry about, sucks about the other ones.

damn its gonna be alright

 

Those impact drivers a pretty hefty on tough/rusted screws.

 

i fixed it.....i had to go to a salvage yard to pick up a 95 caliper and bracket.
