Nah, easy to install. Just remove the radiator fans and jack up the car. Drop the stock header through the bottom and place the DC up the same way you took the stock out. While you are considering buying this header, you might want to go ahead and pick up a 2.5" cat or test pipe and a S2k donut gasket while you are at it. I assume a muffler shop would charge around $20-$30 if you didn't want to do it yourself. As for performance, I think it will be worth the money you pay for it.

Seems like a pretty good price, but keep looking around, you never know when a place might be having a special on them. Also, look in the classifieds...it might be hard to find a used one thats not dented or scraped though...

I would take the time and do it yourself.

No need to remove the fans. Wrap it with a towel or shirt and squeeze it in.

def buy a s2k donut or a dodge neon rt donut gasket as i had to go with a custom fitted 2.25 gasket on mines since none of the muffler shops had it. also dont remove your fans, install the headers from the bottom up not the top to bottom.
and def def drive slow over bumps if your car is dropped ,cause this header hangs real low.
btw $269 is mad good you better jump on that asap.

I'm extremely happy with my JDM DC, but as mentioned above, the ground clearance is terrible.

Hah i just installed mine a couple days ago. Power feels great, you might wanna consider running a new cat or test pipe with it though. I'm running a test pipe right now, but its starting to stink and i'm throwing a CEL. So i'm putting my carsound cat in today. Where are you buying the header from? I bought mine locally for the same price good deal imo. I was worried about it hanging too low, but as long as your careful and go slow and sideways it'll be okay!

one aspect of installation no one has mentioned...

1. be sure to do this when the car is COLD. not warm or kinda warm, COLD.

2. cross tighten your nutz criss crossing from the middle out.

3. don't over torque them. you don't want to strip out your head's threads

4. get a new exhaust manifold gasket. when you pull yours off you can reuse it if it's in good shape. if not, you've got a new one ready to go in. if you don't use it, return it.

put the carsound cat in today! Sounds almost as loud as a test pipe under WOT, but when driving normally it's A LOT quieter. I'd go with a carsound cat if you do get it, DO NOT USE STOCK CAT!

i used it for 2 days, while my cat was being made. It has like 30miles on it. Which donut gasket are you talking about? The one that connects to the actual header?
