is it the tranny or what
i have a cable y1 in my b16 hatch. everytime i try to bang 2nd at 8k it wont go in it just grinds but when i try to bang it at 5k or 6k it usually has no problem. i have tried to adjust the clutch many times and it doesnt really help. normal driving it does fine with no grinding at all but when i try to race and bang the gears at 8k it wont go in it just grinds bad. do you think the syncro just doesnt want to line up at that high of an rpm. what could it be

adjusting the cable change the point of pressure plate releasing the disc..by tighten it you release sooner and longer as pedal depress...grad to hear it's just out of adjustment and not your trans
