intake system made by bmc . . . they supply air filters to formula one teams (ferrari being a very notable one )


seems to be a decent amount of technology packed inside


clueless about price. but probably a pretty penny. watd u guys think?

I dont really get whats going on in that diagram?

 

i stared for a good 2 minutes before realizing the can-shaped part is the filter. correct me if i'm wrong.

Seems to me like a lot of extra bullshit. The best flow possible is that of a straight through design, now I know that we must run filters, but would`nt the most basic designed filter provide the greatest air transfer??

How is that possible? How can more curves provide more airflow? And can that air be any colder than that of an Iceman or other cold air system?
This is a little too much to believe. IMO, I can`t see creating any better filter design than already exists on the market today.

I'll have to agree with Sin 2 on this one. Yes, it's refreshing to see a different intake every once in a while, but I just can't see the curves and such in that particular intake, and just the way it's designed, could be any better than other CAI's.

 

quite a few people have these on their honda's over here in the u.k. highly rated. wouldnt say its any better than aem or injen though.

Yeah I'm not feeling the dryer ducting looking stuff. That's how you make the big power though. By making the air as turbulent as you can before it reaches the intake manifold!!
