Ok, I have been researching about these two cars and I can't find any concerte information thats reliable about their true weight. I found that the 88std weighs 1933lbs but I'm not sure about that one. And I found out the 88 civic dx weighs 1993lbs. And I have used search, and I have been on numerous sites, such as autotrader, hondaswap and cars.com. And I keep finding different numbers everywhere. Can someone help me out this. I kind of believe the 88std weighs that much because our race car weighed 2040lbs on a full tank of gas with some other stuff on it. Such as SSR+kumho's and rear sway bar.

 

According to my factory manual, the 1988 STD weighs 1989 pounds. I don;t recall the weight of the DX. But I remember that it is over 2000 pounds.

 

Yeah the weights seem kind of accurate but I"m not sure. I'm starting to actually believe that the 88std weighs 1933lbs. I'll tell you why in a minute.
