Is anyone using a high output alternator for their 4th generation H22A? I have a friend looking for an OEM modified alternator with around 150amps for his car.

What is a reliable shop to get one of these units? How has the unit functioned?

 

Powermaster has a 170amp alternator. costs $469.95 at summit racing.

 

Is it direct bolt-on?

Thanks. I took a look at the website and says they have the 170 amp model that supposedly is the same for 1990-97 Accord/1992-96 Prelude and Delsol DOHC VTEC's. I will email them to see what they say.

 

it should be pretty easy to swap them. not sure if you need to get a 0/1 gauge wire for the alternator...
