Paint on vin number

Default Paint on vin number
I bought a new tranny and it has paint on the vin number. Any good products to take the paint off. Its not stolen I have papers and you can barely see the vin #

Paint thinner??

Or Aircraft stripper. Might want to be careful about getting any of this on the inner workings of it though.

Just put it on a rag and dab it off, don't dump a ton of it all inside the tranny. I can't say it would hurt anything for sure, but I damn sure would'nt want to be pouring that junk inside my tranny!
