Mugen ECU or Hondata?

I read a little bit about hondata and the newest verison sounds off the hook - but I got a dude with a mugen ecu for 1000.00 - so which would you hit up - ohhh yeah got a lap top as well so i'm leaning towards the hondata at this point.
Is the Mugen even programable?
Hondata has a ton of support, many many dyno shops know how to tune it, so you dont need to spend the money on the logger.
Or, if you are more of the DIY persona, you can opt for the Uberdata...basically hondata but software is free.

i was running the mugen program on my hondata before i tuned it. internally stock b18c-r with bolt ons. it was WAY too rich, vtec bogged badly as did the entire rev range at full throttle.
Assuming I was keeping my B18C5, then I would definately take the Hondata over the Mugen. I like the idea of having an engine management system that can be tuned for the engines needs, not a preset setting that's universally supposed to make more power.

And didn't you pay less for that than what he's thinking about paying for the Mugen?
He can spend the extra money on expert tuning.

hmm.. if you shop around.. you should get hondata + tuned and ready to for under $1000
hondata s200.... $300
harness.... $75-100
chipped ecu.... $150-200
if you buy some of it used, it will be even cheaper, or you could even go with s100.
tuning should take no longer than 2 hours.. so you should be under $1000
