Default Replacing inner valve springs

OK. In planning for the Spec B cams, I have a question. When I replace the inner valve springs, it can be done with the head still on right? Just the springs, not the valves. Will I need any special tools to do it? Jst trying to figure out if I can save the money on labor and do it myself. Dyno time os going to kill me around here.

Thanks,
James

Yes, the head can remain on the car while removing/installing the springs...

And another question. I have been debating pulling the stock head gasket and going with a mugen or spoon. With the spec b's do you think it'll be worth it?

I went and set up an account with Snap-On and found the part. It's a universal valve spring compressor and runs $113. Looks like the valve adjustment tool runs about $45.

Thanks guy's
