*EVASIVEMOTORSPORTS SHORT SHIFTER REVIEW*
Browsing through the pages of Honda-Tech i find a thread titled 'Evasive Motorsports CNC Short Shifter EF, EG, EK, DA, DC $35 Shipped'
The original thread https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=741946
I click on the title asking myself why would a shop sell a short shifter for 35 bucks shipped?
Lo and behold....

I say to myself wow thats pretty sexy and for $35 there has to be a catch or the shifter is comparable to an ebay shifter that will probably break after my first hard shift....so i take my chances and buy it...
The order was put in on Saturday night and i got the shifter Tuedsay....
Great shipping and fast service...
To my surprise the shifter weighs a ton almost as much as my skunk2 shift ****...probably more...it is also very solidly constructed and i doubt the person with the strongest forearms will be able to break this shifter...
I was previously running a stock integra dual bend shifter and i was very content with that...
From....

to....
notice how much lower the shifter sits...

the shifter feels great..although there is not a bearing in the bottom i can honestly say that i would not be able to tell a difference if there was a bearing in there...the stock one didnt have one so whats the big deal yo...
if anyone is in the market for a cheap but really useful shifter then...

some side play thats why they added those big o-rings in the package...and yes the hole matches the hold in the linkage...no rattling or anything..
oh this is an integra linkage in my civic...if that makes a difference for anyone..

yeah def. i had a no name brand and at first i LOVED it, but after like 1 month i was racing this kid and i shifted from frist gear to second and the stupid thing broke in half.... so i got skunk2 **** and shifter.. which by the way is the BEST... but good luck to you and your new shifter.

Shifters that are lower than stock are not good for performance driving. You have to reach down too far so it takes longer to get your hand to and from the wheel, especially for a higher Hp fwd. If i ever got a short shifter it would be at least as tall as the stock one.
Just look at race cars, most of them have tall sticks that are up near the wheel. short short shifters :thumbdown

It definitely looks nice, and the price is great, but you gotta put some miles on the thing before you rate it's quality/performance. But good find mang!

this is true for an integra or hatchback, i'd probably get that huge shifter somebody posted a while ago if i drove my hb and integra around a lot. but i daily drive my sol, so theres no need for a long shifter since the shifter is right next to your hand no matter how tall, stock, or short the shifter is.
evasivemotorsports huh, well tell us how that goes in a month or so, i'd get one if i dont have a skunk2 shifter/**** combo by then.

you must be a small person because if you think that where the position in a honda is far away then i dont know...
anyways..ill keep you all informed with how it performs...but so far im not regretting 35 bucks..

well i dont think it matters if you're tall or short. i'm about 5'5" (i know i'm short
), and my friend is about 5'10" and we both still think the shifter to hatchbacks are a bit low. so having a short short shifter wouldnt help us much.

oh yea, and about that huge shifter somebody posted a while ago. it doesnt make sense why they tested the shifter on a sol, because like i said before, no matter what size the shifter is on a sol, your hand is still right next to it. they should have showed it being tested on a hb or integ which the stock shifters are much lower when you sit in a hb or integ.

my B&M is actually taller than my stock shifter, however the throw is much shorter.
people are confusing the word "short" in short shifter for the actual shifter itself. "Short" refers to the throw....pssh....

I agree. Shifters that are shorter in height take way too long to get to when racing. Thats why I put my stock shifter back in and it feels so much better

Go ahead and check the math on that...
Anyone think the c's shifter is too short? ( should be arriving shortly!)

i posted a thread about the same shifter and ppl gave it a thumbs down because of the missing bearing. I didn't know stock shifters don't come with bearings. After your review, i think i'll pick one up
How hard was the install btw? have to move the exhaust piping out of the way i imagine.
