Default need opinions:homie buyin a 2003 civic si hatchback for 10.5 G's.....

well maybe i should go post in the EP forums, but i wanna know what yall think....My homie found this 2003 civic si hatchback in autotrader for 10.5 G's...
it has 8XXX miles on it, body kit, and some 16inch tenzo R...everythin is stock engine wise.. both me and my homie drove it and we were satisfied....i think its a good deal, im just not diggin the bodykit but it was a theft recovery and they took the rims, bumpers, and airbags... oh yeah it has a system too.

Let me know what yall think...

buy it.. nothing wrong with a salvaged title if you know it has been fixed correctly/better

buying any salvage car will lose alot of value. lets say one day you wreck the car. book value on it is like 15k. but it has a salvage tittle so insurance company will probably only give you like 8k b/c it was a salvege tittle to begin with. i wouldnt buy it if its dirty cheap. and only been hit in the rear.

i think the only problem with the car is that it has a salvaged title, but overall i think its a bargain, 2003 ep with 8k miles on it, with a system, and i/h/e. just wanna see your guy's opinion thanks so far...keep em comin, more info will help a lot.

True, true.

I bought a salvage title 90' CRX Si for $750 in '00. It had 120k on it. I drove it 'till 158k without a single problem. Sold it for $1000.

sounds like a good deal if you dont care about the salvage title...salvage title = the car is worth half the blue book

apparently EP3s have better suspension than 4-6G civics even though they use macpherson struts. so i say go for it. EG/EK is inferior!

Well put man!!! so how much would it cost, lets say he bought it for 10 G's with salavage title...then it gets totaled some how, the insurance company will give him blue book value of the salvage original price??? (assuming he has full coverage)
