Default OEM vs OEM STYLE fitment for 92-95 civic foglights??

I wanted to buy a pair of either OEM brand foglights or OEM STYLE foglights for my 93 eg.

Should I shell out extra cash for the OEM foglights and know that it will 100% fit perfectly? Or should I save money and buy OEM STYLE foglight kits and hope they will fit nicely? Or do the OEM STYLE foglights fit just as nice as OEM does?

I've installed Honda, Esuse, and Depo. They fit the same.

What brand was yours because the OEM wiring is different from the Esuse wiring, which is different from the Depo wiring.

i've got the Esuse brand knock-offs and the fit is perfect, switch is JDM orange too (oem style switch). i just got a set of PIAA Ion Yellow H3's and they look nice

i'll try to get a pic up with the new bulbs in soon.

I got depo from ebay and they fit/work perfectly. I wired them a little different from what is suggested in the instructions, but they can only be on if the parking lights are on and are operated by the oem style toggle.

cutting the bumper was pretty straight foward, just follow the directions if you have worries.

Another thing to consider...do you want the foglights to be on with parking lights and high beams? You can do that with the Esuse and Depo (you can also do it with OEM but it's a hassle compared to just installing the OEM styles) but not the OEM. OEMs will light up only with the headlights. The OEM styles will light up with the parking lights and both low and high beams.

OEMs cost more too.

i've always thought fog lights switched on with a button & not with the parking/headlights click.

the real deal OEM fogs have a much more complicated harness than the depo's. they only turn on with the fog switch on and with the light switch at low beam (the only real "legal" way to have them on). the depo harness is much simpler, utilizing just a single relay. both harnesses are plug and play. the the depos are much easier to wire, but the lights themselves install in exactly the same manner. imo, thers no point to get the real oems... my depos where only $60 shipped brand new

You're right and wrong. The OEM fogs have a button that you have to push in to get them to come on. You also have to have your headlights on as well (not the parking lights and not the high beams).
