ibought some volution racing seats off of ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...79682 theres a link to how they look. they bolt across the bottom so the bolt pattern is too skinny to use stock mounting points> i was thinking of taking the stock seats off the brackets and welding a 1/4" piece of plate steel across the brackets lower than the top to bolt the new seats into. is this a good idea or not? if not how can i put them in. they only came with crappy sliders and no brackets so thats why i ws thinking this.

how are those seats in comparison with the del sols?

 

i wouldnt know, never had the pleasure of sitting in del sol

 

get some sparco seat brackets, they will work with them. i used the sparco brackets on my cheapo seats and they worked good. kinda pricey though..
