I met some kid at the expo last year in BeaveRun...I was checking out his black Type R. At the time I had a 99 GSR and he asked me "Are you looking to upgrade to an R?" And at the time, I was a douche and said "no."

Well, since then, I bought a Type R, lol....so yeah, just wondering if he's a member here or anyone else around Pittsburgh. Since I got my R, I've seen one Type R...a CW one. Looked extremely nice.

Any others out there?

 

there's still a few in the burgh. yos, scott, and myself are outta there... brandon is still around along with a few others.

 

There used to be several, but most of us have sinced moved away.

One went to Japan I believe, another to North Carolina, one to Florida and I moved to California.

 

I figured you were from the burgh since you have the Steeler avatar.

I'm moving out of here as soon as I get out of college...I can't stand the weather.

yeah, i hear yos (piyomut that's spelled wrong i'm sure) is back in the states and has an NSX now, not sure where he is.

D and both ended up rocking florida...who knew?

Shamun is still up there i think, mr. 2nd place at nationals rookie year.

 

Yeah, I actually got to meet piyomut or however you spell that. His sister or friend, whichever she was, actually bought my 99 GSR. I got to see his PY ITR...very nice car.

 

I'm one of the "used to be's," been down in DC for the last 2 1/2 yrs. It's great being back in such a high theft area, I miss not worrying about parking the R in the 'burgh.

I live near Mechanicsburg......are you talking Mechanicsburg PA (very close to Harrisburg)? If so i live about 30 min from there. Where are you going to school?

brandon's actually an NC guy now and trying to sell his R (very nice one btw).. yos picked up an nsx.. and me i'm just a wannabe

your GSR now looks like an R because my friend liked how the Lip and Wing of the R looks. Having a hard time driving it because of the crazy snow with the stock tires.
as for me, I am waiting for another R to come.
NSX is in the garage
somehow, I feel that I am more of an R person than an NSX.
(but if I have a NSX-R that would be a different story)

yea, i know sam, we used to go to lunch all the time till he switched schools for higher learning.

mstewar- last i heard they were looking for a donar car to put EagleR's power train in, i havent heard the progress on the car since it left my place.

I don't know all of the details, but the car itself was completely totaled... and as for the parts, I still don't know if naything has been or will ever be done with them.

 

i know a couple of R's in pittsburgh, Black and Yellow and the yellow got some altezza's (almost puke every time i see it) The Black one is nice, onwers name is matt, ats final drive, toda fly, exedy clutch, mugen header and twinloop and some volks. I am from the burgh, but I have a couple of extra letters, such as G and S and then comes the R. We should get a meet goin soon

ah.. my mistake.. sorry to bring that up..

 

Who's all going to the ITR expo from around here? I've already got a mini caravan going, consisting of 2 GSR's, a supercharged GSR, an LS, and my R. So yeah, I'm alone, give me another R to go with!

I want to intercept the Chicago caravan whenever it crosses my path but I don't know when they are going yet....

 

im gonna try to go, i'll know better when the date gets close, plus it depends if i got my car retuned by then but im sure it should be.

 

Yea, Jody's car was totaled, but my friend bought it at an auction, i actually have some of the parts on my ride. for a meet in pittsburgh around spring time. We are tying to get a dyno up and running also so people around pittsburgh let me know if you are interested. It will be up in beaver county, hopefully around late spring/summer.
