I've been looking for the amber bumper lenses that fit the stock front bumper for the CRX but could not find a place that sells them...or made them...then was looking at some of the crx's in the garage on H-T and saw that basically all of the SI models had them...did they come stock or no? if so does anyone have a pair they want to sell?

 

All 88-89 CRXs/civic came with amber lenses. All 90-91s had clear lenses with an amber insert.

 

can you get the 88-89 amber to fit on the 91? no right?

You can spray the clear lenses with amber spray tint. But, that's the only way besides an SiR bumper, yes.

You can put an SI bumper on yours and then have the amber. I have an 88 hf that I put an SI bumper on and then I had amber markers.

 

but my crx is a 91..didnt only the 88-89 model SI's come with the amber? will the 88 front bumper fit on m car or no..i haven't seen any 91 crx SI's with the amber bumper lenses

 

Well, all I can tell you is that I have a 91 Si front bumper cover and it has amber marker lights.

the spray tint loooks better then the stock amber ones i think, cause you can buy clear ones brand enw and spray them so they actually look new compared to 15 yr old faded cracked amber lights

Yes, they are sprayed because all 90-91s came with clear, regardless of trim level. 88-89s ALL came amber...simple as that.

krylon stained glass spray paint...get it at a hobby shop, its about 5 bucks a can, and thats all you need...spray paint the inside of the lens, not the outside...

 

i saw some kid on a thread that used stain glass spray, it worked well i saw it the otha day. Can't wait to c how it comes out lol, u know me n my sprayin hahah ite pz bardo

thats what i did but i sprayed the outside they look really stock believe it or not
