Mine was Purchasing the car for the first time and driving it off the dealership.... but then I screamed when i see the insurance bill and montly loan payment

 

The first time I took it out to the local mountain roads and discovered how well it handles.

Being able to drive the R to and from work everyday makes the rest of the day worth while!

 

Lighting it on fire. Oh, but it wasn't my R.

 

Living in Newark, NJ and owning an R is more scary then excited.

The best moment I have ever had in my car is when I first drove it into town. It was a very sunny day and just so happens all my friends were cruising around. Before I got to the main strip one of my friends saw the car and I could just see his jaw drop in front of me. He must of been in shock because he didn't realize it was me until I had passed him. Boy did he break his neck starring. By the time I got down the main strip there was a crowd of people waiting for me in a parking lot just down the road. I don't know how many rides I gave to people that day. Of course that was in my StUnNaRiFiC days when I cared about people liking my car.

 

hrmmmm... goood question. Best and most exciting moment, eh?

That would be tracking the car at Expo '04 @ Summit Point!

Hitting Vtec for the first time.
Learning to heel and toe (well).
whipping a slow BMW at the drag strip.
Attempted theft in PHilly (failed - not exactly best, but exciting...)

Best moment was leading the Philly / Maryland Caravan of 25+ ITR's on the PA turnpike to Beaver for ITR Expo '03! That was awesome

Fisr time i hit VTEC, it was like losing my virginity all over again

 

On my first R, in 97, drove to Maryland for some junk Import Drag (Early Rice Era) with 2 friends.
Punched it pass a 93 GSR and at the next Traffic light, the kid and his friend said, "Damm, I have an Intake and Exhaust and I still can't catch up to u!"
I guess is the first yr of R so is fresh. When I got my 00FBP R, is not so noticeable .

 

Heading for the guardrail (thru the infield lawn) at Expo 3 really, really fast.

 

I took a friend for a ride to show him how well the car handled and got carried away. After some extreme on and off ramps, I took a 90 degree turn at 60mph on a city block and after I got through the turn the R got sideways and I drifted, yes drifted for what seemed like forever and almost lost it but managed to save it. If not for all the practice I get horsing around at the auto-x's, I would've lost it for sure. He had nothing but praises after that ride. Never again, lesson learned.
