Why does clutch engage so high off the floor?
Since day 1 I've notice that my R has a really high clutch engagement point as compare to other car that I've driven. (ie: Prelude, Sentra, Miata). Is there are reason for that?
I did a search on the archieve but couldn't find out the reason.

lots of hondas... or maybe just integras engage early. some people use that for an advantage for quick shifting (not slamming the clutch all the way to the floor, but we read in the other thread, that that can cause abuse to the tranny)..

exactly what I was reading before I made this post. that's why I want to confirm the reason for it and was that a "built-in" advantage or I am doing into improperly all along?

i have an exedy clutch in my car.. and if i press the clutch al the way it whines (i guess thats a pretty common thing, lots of exedy guys complain about that).. anyways, i put some sort of stop behind the clutch pedal. if you look under there you will see a rubber pad, and i just rigged somthing up. its a real short clutch throw for me
When I got my car it engaged about half way to the top. It was the stock clutch and was a little worn out. After my exedy clutch I also noticed that it engages almost all the way up top. I guess it's common with our cars
