leaking power steering fluid...
about 2 months ago i removed my power steering belt and just today i noticed that it is leaking fluid from the resevoir. there is actually a pool of it forming under the driverside quarter panel in front of the wheel. what is the cheapest/easiest way i can fix this (i dont care if i do or dont have p.s.) i do still have the belt in case youre wondering. thanks in advance
Is it leaking from a crack in the reservoir, is the tube from the reservoir cracked, is it lose, etc.? If it is the tube I'd just replace it. If it the reservoir go to a junkyard and get one for cheap.
i have the same problem right now. i was turning my wheel while it was on ignition and when i was looking, power steering fluid was gushing out while i was turning it. it happened out of no where and theres no cracks on the resevoir. does anyone know whats up with it?
That's like saying "I'm losing oil between oil changes, where is it going?" You could be burning it, bad cam seal, bad main seal, etc. Figure out exactly where the PS fluid is coming out of. Then you will be able to get some help.
