Default Yokohama Parada?

Looking to buy some tires anyone got experience with Yokohama Paradas Spec 2 or the Yokohama AVS ES100? sizes are 205/45/16

Im not sure which one to get... ES100 is about $10 bux cheaper on each tire.

Last set of wheels I had were the NeoGens... Not so bad... Anyone?

I've been reading some mix reviews on the paradas spec 2. I mean on tirerack.com its got awesome traction but then some people are saying that it howls or something... I've never experienced tires that howl... Thats why I was kind of leaning towards the ES100 but just wanted someone's experience with either one...

If the choice is between the Parada Spec 2 and the ES100, I'd go with the ES100.

I've never liked Paradas. They have a cool looking tread design and appeal to the show crowd more IMO. They do not have the same grip as the ES100 either.

I'd go for the ES100s. They are a good solid performer, are quieter than Paradas, grip better than Paradas, and best of all - they're cheaper than Paradas.

The Parada S2 was designed more for looks than anything else.

Edit: Tom beat me to it, on every point!

I've never driven on Neogens, but from the looks of things they *appear* to be nothing more than a pretty tire for the show crowd.

Again I could be wrong, but knowing Nitto they're probably trying to compete with the BFG colored tires and the Parada Spec 2, etc.

I have the Parada Spec-2 tires on my car. 205/40ZR17

They have only been on the car for about 500 miles or so, but I like them! I get good traction with the turbo setup, even with cold ground temps. I even did a test in water and pulled at WOT in second gear with only a minor amount of wheel spin.

I had the NeoGen's on my car before and they were pretty nice... I thought they performed better than the Kumho's 712 and were quieter than them... (thats the only set I could compare it to since thats the only other set i've had!)

I guess I'm going with the ES100 thanks guys

how about some Bridgestone Potenze RE730 Series 2?

I'd never like the Prada's.

You think those are loud, try a set of Toyo RA1's! They are more loud, but thats because they grip really well. The more a tire grips, the louder it will be.

i've had the parada's and azeni's before. azeni's are ok, until the tread dies, but what do you expect for a "street" drag radial? also, the parada's do grip well.

Yeah, everybody should run R-compounds on the street so they have to replace $100+ apiece tires every time they get their oil changed.

Your just being a ********......I'm running more torque thru the front wheels than most civic's, it tests traction real well on launches.

And I didn't reccommend the RA1's....just compared the noise...duhhh..learn to read. And I have 20k miles on those tires already, and they aren't worn out.
