Default new headgasket ;)

this past friday i changed my headgasket....
from stock to a cometic .43 MLS turbo headgasket
also got arp head studs
new gasket and studs installed

head ready to go on

semi clean piston

honestly it wasnt hard at all...its pretty strait foreward....the hardest part was getting the timing belt on and off without loosening it ahaha

hopefully that doesn't blow on you....I've seen nothing but problems with Cometic.

Why didn't you loosen the tensioner- there's a hole in the timing belt cover. Mark the belt and the cams accordingly and put it back where it was. Just a suggestion

i did mark it....what i didnt know is that there is a hole in the timing cover , thats why i didnt loosen it.

and ive herd alot of bad about cometic too , but with the arp combo i dont think its goin anywhere

how much is that supposed to lower the compression? I wana put a thicker headgasket on before i turbo my car, and i was wondering if it was worth it.

all and all about 4 hours from start to finish..not bad for my first time.

i dont know exactly , at the most its lowered by .5
alot of people have problems with cometic but mine went on just fine...
