Default Help, Gauge Cluster stopped working...?

Hey guys my friend has a 94 hatchback, with a 93 EX motor (D16Z6)...did the swap everything went well...Hes been driving it for about 2 weeks now, then tonight the RPM, Speedometer, Gas, and Temp gauge stoped working...But the lights come on for cluster...
Also on his V-AFC the AFC will only read the highest RPM, so if he starts it and leaves it, the highest RPM will stick on the vafc until he revs higher. So if he reved to 6000 RPM then it will stay there (on the vafc) the RPM on the cluster will not work at all. What you guys think? -Jon
