Quick Q: Is there any benefit to having an Aftermarket Steering Wheel??
Before I say this, I still have an OEM wheel that came on the car.
Some people feel that the airbags cause more problems in an accident than help (myself included). Some people want a smaller steering wheel. Some people do it for the bling factor. Some people do it so they can remove the steering wheel for anti theft purposes.

personally, i wouldn't do it unless you've got a harness and a cage. safety first
.
basically, it saves weight, makes the steering more responsive, and it is easier to turn. plus the bling factor. and you can't beat the feeling you'll get when you get a face full of jdm steering wheel if you happen to get into an accident.

a smaller steering wheel is harder to turn at slower speeds if you dont have power steering.....a removable steering wheel is a nice saftey measure. i have a removable mugen wheel and im happy with it ,mainly for the fact of no airbags
