B16... if you are going to do it. do a B16. you'll have a nicer platform to start off with
but if u got dough do b18c1
if you got more dough than that do b18c5
and more than that b20-vtec with forced induction

If you got some money then go with the b16 you can either turbo that or build it up, but if your low on money then id go with the y7 turbo. youll be happy with either, just depends on how much money you want to throw into the project.
i reccommend turbo d16. even if you only run like 7 psi you will still have same or more hp as a b16 with bolt-ons, and much much more torque- not to mention your powerband will be lower and stronger making it more usable and responsive at lower rpm. id only do b16 if i had enough money to turbo that- and even then id prolly get a 1.8L b series like SOHC_MShue said

Thanks for your replays. But Money is the issue. So I was thinkin of y8 and getting an EX head. Then Turboing it. I gues Ill gett a good turbo if anything. All my engine has is a Ported head,ECU chip 2-1/4 inch piping Cold air intake and DC sports headers.
I still riding with B16 with my hatch .
Keep u guys posted.

I would say the same.

turbo d will spank a b16 swaps all day. plus they're cheaper.
turbo d with maybe 150tq and hp for under a grand or b16 swap with 111tq or less for a little over a grand. u decide

Yup, me too.
If you plan on boosting both, look at it this way:
What's going to be more easy/cost efficient to replace if you blow the bottom end.......... ..... ..... ...... enjoy your boosted d16

the thing about boosted d16's, when you have some internals done, they can really but some power down. plus, it weighs less, so your handling will be a little better.
think about this too.. you blow you d16, you just ****** another one of up for a couple of hundred!
