I have a 93 eg. The person i bought it from put power locks on it. The problem is when i hit the button to unlock the doors the passenger door will not unlock or open. I took it to a stereo shop but they wouldn't touch it. Any help on how to trouble shoot it would be appreciated.

 

I would say, to start, take off the door panel and then you can get a look at whats going on while you press the unlock button on the remote, and see if it's getting power to it. I don't know if power locks work off of a solenoid or not. I'm sure someone will know.

It happened before, luckely the door opened and pulled the panel off. It is getting power so i don't know why it won't open, and it is a sinoid operated.

 

most likely it an aftermarket power door lock solenoid..they do go out in time..what is happening there is that the rod is kinda jam so the solenoid is getting kinda weak, so it doesn't have enough juice to push/pull the rod..might just want to go get a new one or fine a factory power door lock actuator (it work way better).

first it was my driver's side... two months later the passenger's side went out

 

Thanks for the help. I got it fixed turns out the latch was the problem.
