Default I need help fast! I need tips on what to look for in a Honda!!

Hey guys I need help fast... i'm about to go with my mom to some car dealers...

i'm looking for a 92-95 Honda Civic, either a hatchback or a EX, I really want a hatch so I'll look harder for one... but anyways we going to see for prices, and if the car is clean and smooth..

I just need help on what to look out for, and on what to say to the dealer guys...

thanks guys! i'll post here later on what happend when I get back, I'll post prices, and what the guy said.

if you wanna go "fast" and have no regard for commodities (i.e. sunroof, a/c, p/s. etc) get a CX or a VX HB because they are the lightest and cheapest models out there.

A 92-95 Hatch should not cost more than 3,000. but again your going to a dealer so get the vaseline out cuz your getting fucked.

private party buying is way better. i can bet you'll get a hatch for like 1500-1800.

dont buy from a dealer. they are ******* theives and will try to rip you off.

i bought my car from a private seller for 3400. he was asking 3800. the car is mint outside and it. the car is in my signature below. dealers would of asked 5-6K for the car i bought. almost double.

Not all dealers are "Ripping people off"

I bought a 94 CX-5spd from our local Honda dealer for 700.00, had a blown head gasket....

inspect for rust, the conditions of bushings, alignment of frame, condition of interior, and tightness of panels...

check the motor mounts and see if all the hardware is bolted down tight.... take it for a drive and check the tranny and listen for sounds. other than that just look for obviously worn out stuff...... if you don't know what to look for already, then you'll learn in the first year you have the car......

Not all dealerships are out to get you. I bought a 97 DX hatch for less than blue book from my local dealer. That was before I knew people there too!
