Sixth generation automatic trasmission question
I have a 1998 accord 4-cyl. with 115k miles. The automatic transmission upshifts perfectly, but sometimes downshifts with a clicking noise. Is this normal? I have changed the fluid every 25k with HONDA PREMIUM FLUID from the dealership. Upshifting is ok, but slight jerking and clicking noise while downshifting in annoying. Anybody with clues or is this just an Accord normal behavior with age?

Sounds like normal wear and tear. I have a '99 4 cyl accord with around 60K miles and I've noticed some sounds from the tranny here and there. Unless you're feeling intense jerks I wouldn't worry too much.
