from what i can think of, you should be all set, i used my stock cat when i got my JDM ITR 4-1 header, but i had to extend my cat like 3 inches i believe , how much you gettin the header for?

Team Hybrid Garage has new carsound cats that fit the JDM ITR 4-1 headers for $120 shipped. Fit perfectly, I highly recommend.

The people from HGR seem to do good business but they are slow in delivery. I ordered my cat converter back in 5/Dec/2003 and I'm still waiting on it. I emailed them about this a couple of days ago and they have not replied yet.

 

I'm located in So. Cal and I want to sell my JDM 4-1 headers with top heat shield and my carsound cat.

 

Mine was a little slow too, but I called them and left a message and once I got a live voice I was happy with the service they provided.

Don't forget about the 2.5" donut gasket.

Unless you plan on welding the header to the catalytic converter

cheapest i've seen a JDM header for was 400 shipped i think from R&D? never had time to jump on that though so dunno if it's still that much?

 

Yes, it does, but you need the 2.5" donut gasket. Go to honda and pick up an S2K gasket.

 

Isnt the JDM ITR catalytic a few inches shorter than the USDM one? If you are using the stock USDM exhaust, the JDM catalytic will be a few inches too short to bolt up.

 

If you have the stock exhaust, then you are going to need a USDM length (17") catalytic with a 2.5" collector. For instance I'm using an SMSP-modified carsound (2.5 inlet/outlet) bolted to a JDM DC header and Mugen twinloop. There should be plenty of topics under the search function if you need more info.

I'm getting the DC sports JDM Type R header for 340 shipped....that's stainless steel BTW.

Whatever you do, DO NOT order from HGR.. I never received my cat converter and now I am told that the shop closed down I've sent a bunch of emails that do not get answered and I've called a million times but all I get is a voice mail telling me that I can't leave a message... Sad, but true and I'm short $120 and I still need the cat converter !!

A little shy of 500 shipped with the upper heat shield an Skid plate...

 

hondamotorsonline.com has it for 359 shipped.

 

359 shipped does not include the skidplate (49) and heat shield (70).

 

ahhh my bad didn't know we were including.

 

anybody knows who makes the skid plates, and how much they go for....
