Just curious, has anyone removed there fender moldings around the fenders(the black rubber covers), mine are slowly starting to come off, and ive noticed they only help to keep dirt/sleet slammed next to my rear quarters wher I currently have no rest and would like to keep it that way?

J/W if anyone took it off and have had bad experiences with it off?

 

Take it off...it's rust in the making.

 

Have you did it? I think it would look better without um.....

but then you just kinda leave even more open metal to be scratched and rust, they did serve a purpose at one point...lol

 

I had a 92 CX and removed all the fender molding. It looks better and water doesn't get trapped in there anymore. I'd worry more about trapped water causing rust than a few little nicks in the paint.
