How much more is an ACT Street/strip clutch (full face w/ 6 springs) and HD pressure plate? I paid $360 flat at a local shop and I think it holds much better than the stock R clutch. What's the cost on a stock R clutch?
I haven't looked into costs yet, but I like OE stuff. I am not getting turbo or SC so I really do not need a race type clutch! I am also be getting a FW at the same time, maybe ITR or Toda
isnt the act street clutch the same thing as a gsr clutch with a stiffer spring.....
id recommend itr clutch. . it holds more than enough and can take more than enough power... and it will ooutlast any aftermarket clutch.

PP is a little stronger than a GS-R, but the disks are the same. I paid $285 for mine, $300 with shipping. Got it here http://www.godspeed-motorsports.com That included the disk, pp, release bearing, and flywheel bearing. I like it, though my only comparison is to the glazed stocker I drove on for like 5 months. BTW-lighter flywheel=

ACT has a street clutch that is the same thing as the OE clutch. Even the shop owner at MachIII didn't care for that one. The one I have is one step above that. It's held great for two road track events and my R LSD tranny/flywheel combo.
I don't find the ITR clutch to be all that great. I would get something better. I also doubt it will outlast any aftermarket clutch. I've seen stock ITR clutches need replacing after 5k miles of racing.
I replaced my clutch about 10k miles ago with a OEM R clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing. Maybe I'm weird... but I love it
pedal pressure is nice, clutch grabs excellent too. i can spin first, second, third.... oh wait, the jrsc probably helps with that

i had a gsr with a jrsc on it and i put itr clutch on it works great i also had a jun light weight flywheel but my car kept on stalling after hard excel. the type r fly wheel weighs 14pds and the gsr is 18 pds type r by far better
your on crack all stock honda clutches are shitty,
the itr clutch cannot handle power woirth of ****. trust i would know . spend the money and get an aftermarket one. trust me youll feel a difference. mine not broken in yet , but i can tell it hooks up more already. and by the way my stock clutch blew before i had my nos so it dont take too much to kill an itr clutch. i love my act, and it is better than stock. its not the same , the act i got can handle up to 320ft/lbs of torque. ,

this all coming from a ITR owner with only one windshield wiper.
there are ways to abuse a clutch (any clutch) and make it die a very quick death. I've seen ACTs die within 2 weeks of installation, same with CM. I've never seen a stock one die quite that quick though. At the same time I've seen the stock ITR clutch last over 70K (D's car is an example) but I haven't seen too many high mileage aftermarket clutches..

put it this way if your putting power to the ground , get aftermarket if ou wanna race get aftermarket.
if you wanna have a hot looking car that got no relal power and you just cruise the st get stock , simple as that , i just cant see spending the asame amount of money on a stock clutch as a high per clutch
...............................and whats the deal with my winshild wiper. . . . .all this coming from reg integra that would get stomped by a type r with one winshild wiper????

Oh I'm sorry. I was talking about cars that race too... not drag but autox and road.
As for your ITR beating my little integra, you could in a straight line I'm sure. You are spraying after all, good apples to apples test there (that was sarcasm)... if you want to autox or do some lap times against me, feel free. I don't care if you are faster, the one windshiled wiper still looks like *** either way.

.... don't even bother applying to we-todd-did racing.... 69,2xx miles on stock ITR clutch here.... tons of autox, some road racing. still holds fine, release bearing pretty dry and sticky tho.

hahahahahah **** all you, ,, , , its less drag i put it stright up and its less drag., both on and down when your going relly fastnot like much of you on here know about that but the wipers shake and flop around and catch air and holds it back , its not much but anything to go faster. ill goin the twisties with you anytime, that what my car was built for and illtoss you up in a stright line with out the nos no prob. i ran a 14.0 without the nos on my blown clutch . maybe a high 13 now without the nos and the new clutch , i dont talk **** i back it up . ..........................so **** all yall , i was trying to help this dude to not make s tupid desicion.

itr206: bring it on my friend. There is *1*, count it again, *1* ITR that's beaten my car in autox. That's mark allen's car with a pro level driver. And no, unlike you I'm not trying to brag, simply stating a fact. And less drag? WTF my wipers don't "flop around and catch air" at 142mph (not indicated but actual) so how fuggin fast are you going exactly for them fo "flop around". And even if they did, what are you gaining? .0000001 in the quarter mile? What a joke. The one wiper looks GAY, it doesn't do **** (oh yeah, explain how one wiper on the window is better for drag than two tucked down) and it.. well LOOKS FUGGIN GAY.
"my car was made for the twisties" lol
